WELCOME
Welcome to Ben Derbyshire GK, a goalkeeping academy based in Peterborough and surrounding areas. Historically goalkeepers have been somewhat of a neglected species when it comes to training. At Ben Derbyshire GK we provide specialised, goalkeeper specific training and coaching with the aim of helping all our goalkeepers reach their full potential from grassroots football to the professional game.
We offer a variety of session types, meaning we can cater to all abilities and training preferences and tailor sessions to maximise their benefit. We are the only FA approved provider of goalkeeper coaching in the area, having recently obtained the approved provider accreditation from the Hunts FA. That means that when you attend any of our sessions you can rest assured that you or your child are receiving top quality coaching from coaches that have up to date qualifications, certificates and insurances.
With over 1000 goalkeepers spread over the Peterborough, Cambridge and South Lincolnshire areas having benefited from Head Coach, Ben Derbyshire’s 15 years coaching experience, BDGK is the premier goalkeeping coaching specialist for all enthusiastic and eager keepers.

In the few sessions I have had with Ben, it is already clear to see he is a great coach and will help me develop enormously as a goalkeeper. March 27, 2021Ben has coached me since around the age of 6 and has had a massive impact in my development as a goalkeeper in the last 10 years. His sessions work on specific aspects needed for the individual and keeping it as game specific as possible. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking to develop your ability as a goalkeeper or simply looking for a session.

Ben has kept a much needed sense of routine with his Sat morning zoom sessions during Lockdown. Always engaging and fun, Hugo has definitely improved over the last couple of months due to Ben's training. Highly recommended!
